The power of  new energy vehicles comes from the power lithium battery, which is actually a power source of road transport vehicles. Its main differences from ordinary lithium batteries are as follows:

1、 Different properties

Power lithium battery refers to the battery that supplies power for transportation vehicles, generally referring to the small battery that supplies energy for portable electronic equipment; The ordinary battery is a primary battery with lithium metal or lithium alloy as the cathode material and non-aqueous electrolyte solution, which is different from rechargeable lithium-ion battery and lithium-ion polymer battery.

2、 Different battery capacities

If all batteries are new, use a discharge meter to test the battery capacity. Generally, the capacity of power lithium battery is about 1000-1500mAh; The capacity of ordinary batteries is more than 2000mAh, and some can reach 3400mAh.

3、 Difference in voltage

The working voltage of general power lifepo4 battery is lower than that of general lithium battery. Generally, the maximum charging voltage of lithium ion battery is 4.2V, and the maximum charging voltage of power lithium battery is about 3.65V. Generally, the nominal voltage of lithium ion battery is 3.7V, and the nominal voltage of power lithium ion battery is 3.2V.

4、 Different discharge power

A 4200mAh power lithium battery can discharge its power in just a few minutes, but ordinary batteries can't, so the discharge capacity of ordinary batteries can't be compared with that of power lithium batteries. The biggest difference between power lithium battery and ordinary battery lies in its large discharge power and high specific energy. As the important purpose of power battery is to supply vehicle energy, it has higher discharge power than ordinary battery.

5、 Different applications

The batteries that supply driving power for electric vehicles are called power lithium batteries, including traditional lead-acid batteries, nickel metal hydride batteries and emerging lithium ion power lithium ion batteries, which are divided into power lithium batteries (hybrid electric vehicles) and energy lithium batteries (pure electric vehicles); Lithium ion batteries used in mobile phones, laptops and other consumer electronic products are generally referred to as lithium ion batteries, which are different from power lithium batteries used in electric vehicles.
