This 2023 is difficult financially. But that does not mean that technology brands do not launch their new models. With new processors, screens, cameras and much more price. Inflation is real.

As we get closer to the big unveiling event on February 1, Samsung Unpacked 2023 , more details about Samsung 's upcoming Galaxy S23 devices are leaking every day , and sometimes even multiple times a day. This is usual in the age of leaks.

According to a new report, based on prices, this year's Samsung flagships will be more expensive than last year's (again, inflation). In Australia, which is where this leak comes from, the price increase is about 65 euros per model. It's not much, but it's a climb.

Beyond the price, the Galaxy S23 family is interesting for its technical characteristics, since these phones will be Samsung's high-end by 2023 and the competition is starting to be very tough . Google and Xiaomi have put the batteries and Apple never slows down.

Next we are going to review what have been the technical specifications that have been leaked for the Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S23+. We still do not have any reliable information about the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra.

Samsung Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S23+ specifications

According to the latest leaks , the Samsung Galaxy S23 and S23+ will have a 6.11-inch and 6.6-inch AMOLED Infinity-O screen, respectively . Both models will maintain Full HD+ resolution, variable refresh rate from 48 to 120Hz, HDR 10+ support, and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 screen protection.

As for performance, the Samsung Galaxy S23 and S23+ will feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset in all markets, no past play . It will be paired with 8 GB of RAM and 128/256 GB of internal storage.

As for cameras , the Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S23+ will feature a 50MP main rear camera with optical image stabilization , a 12MP wide-angle, and a 10MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom.

The main rear camera will be able to record videos of up to 8K at 30 fps and 4K videos at up to 60 fps. The 12 Mpx selfie camera with autofocus, meanwhile, can record HDR10 + videos up to 4K at 60 fps.

The Galaxy S23 will have a 3,900 mAh battery (somewhat low, really) and will be compatible with 25 W fast charging. The Galaxy S23+, for its part, has a 4,700 mAh battery with 45 W fast charging, something more in line with its rivals.

Other notable features are 5G support, an in-display ultrasonic fingerprint scanner, dual SIM card slot + eSIM support, IP68 water resistance, stereo speakers, ultra-wideband, and Dolby Atmos support.

Operating system, prices and release date

Both devices will run One UI 5 based on Android 13 and will be available in black, cotton, green and purple. You already know that the color of the Galaxy has always been a status issue, offering a range of the most colorful.

And, although the official prices are not yet known, this new series is expected to be more expensive than the previous models . At least about 70/100 euros more. As for the release date, on February 1 we will find out in its presentation.
