The goal of Doodle Jump is to navigate a four-legged creature called "The Doodler" up an endless sequence of levels without falling. To play Doodle Jump, simply move your cursor from left to right to reach the platforms. To shoot, use the left mouse button. The gameplay is infinite, so jump for as long as you can to get the highest score. The Doodler, or, more specifically, a horizontally scrolling list of Doodlers, can be found at the bottom of the screen. The list is numbered 1 through 8, depicting the eight levels of Doodle Jump 2 – each with its own intro screen and wiggly creatures. Since its release, Doodle Jump has been a fixture in the App Store download rankings, and at the time of writing, it is still ranked #30 in the US App Store's top paid games chart. So Doodle Jump certainly has a following, but how is the game making money?
