Were these people not interested in the Word of God?

Were they just not listening to this prophetic voice?

Were their hearts closing and becoming harder and callous?

Were these people of Israel turning away further from the God who loved them, and who cared for them, and who had chosen them?

Is this why Amos has to say, "Hear this Word! Listen and pay attention?"

Over these past weeks I have been reading and studying this bold and courageous prophetic leader, Amos.

Can I encourage you to read the book of Amos carefully and prayerfully, because it has to so much to teach us in the present dangerous days and the world appears to becoming more and more dangerous as the days and weeks go by?

The West had been infiltrated and invaded and occupied, and most people are totally unaware of what is happening.

Amos, having delivered a blistering and piercing message, reminds this people that God had brought them out of Egypt, and out of slavery, and that He had placed them in the land he promised to give them.

God had kept His part. God always does. I give thanks for the ways in which Almighty God has led me over these past many years. If you have questions about this, then may I invited you to contact me through the excellent facilities at this website and if I am able to answer your question I will certainly endeavour so to do.

I have known the presence of the risen and living Lord Jesus Christ the Son of God, and that reassuring anointing of the Holy Spirit, and it is this I would wish to share with you as the situation globally deteriorates.

It is easy to get a crowd, for a very short while, but unless you are offering people what they most want, and in this case, what they most wanted to hear, that everything was all right, you will not keep them.

Things are just not all right in the western world just now whether it be in Europe of in the United States of America.

I have chosen you, but you have mystical teachings of jesus  to walk a different road from the road I wanted you to walk with Me. That is what God is saying to His people in Chapter three of the book of Amos.

God is saying through Amos, "You are My special people and My chosen ones".

I wanted to be closer to you than to any other people.

God disciplines those whom He loves, and that can cause questions to arise today, but you see it right through into the New Testament and especially in the book of Hebrews. Do check it out.

These people had enjoyed such privileges.

This ought not to have resulted in idolatry and immorality.

God expects more from us who follow Jesus Christ, than from people who know little or nothing about Jesus and His Word and His ways.

Amos could see the end. He could see what was a-coming, and it was preventable.

The history of salvation is suddenly turned into a prophecy of judgment.

Why are we, as a nation, in the present mess, in the present crisis, with Bibles, and prophets and preachers, and books and videos and conferences, and letters, and Bible reading notes?

Those Bible Reading notes alone which we have and use would be luxury in many nations.

The parallel in Amos is almost amazing, or even frightening and alarming.

They had so much but they turned away from it all.

Do not turn away from Almighty God. Do not turn away from Jesus Christ and His Word as we have that holy Word in the Bible.
