How Can you pick your seats with Delta?

Delta Airlines ensures that passengers get the best comfort and assistance when they travel with them. The travelers are even allowed to choose their preferred sea at the time of reservation or anytime after that with Delta Airlines. Rules and regulations for Seat selection

• Passengers traveling under economy class are not allowed to select seats in their economy class booking. The airline will allow them the seat after the process of check-in. 

• The passengers are allowed to request an extra seat for booking if they want extra comfort on the flight. People usually do it when they cannot sit with anyone besides them and share an armrest. 

• The passengers traveling under the premium program can make seat selections without paying any charges as it is one of the additional facilities provided to the passengers traveling under Delta comfort plus to give them extra legroom space and comfortable seats. 

• Preferred seat with Delta includes an Exit row seat, bulkhead window, aisle seat, window, and aisle seat in front of the main cabin. 

• The passengers can purchase their preferred seat prior to departure of their flight within the U.S. or Canada. The passengers are not able to do it at the time of airport check-in as the preferred seat will be unavailable three hours before the scheduled departure. 

• If the passenger proceeds with the cancellation or changes their flight before the check-in, they will receive the amount paid for seat purchase in the form of travel credit. 

The process to select a seat through 'My Trips'

People can make the Delta Seat selection at the time of check-in 24 hours prior to the departure or at the airport. However, you can also make the necessary selection by using the "my Trips" option, which is explained here as follows. 

• Get yourself onto the airline's official website, and once getting connected, you have to enter the PNR number and the last name of the passengers.

• You'll get redirected to the flight detail page, where you are required to choose the option of seat selection/change. 

• The plane's seat map will appear on your screen, in which you have to select your seat per your preference. 

• Once the seat selection is made, you will be redirected to the payment page, where you must follow the on-screen instructions to pay for the selected seat. 

• Once the seat selection is complete, you'll receive the confirmation in your registered email. 

The passengers are also allowed to pick seat on Delta flight if they have better luck or the passengers agree to switch their seats with them. However, to choose your seat at the time of check-in or after reservation, travelers have to follow the online process, but neither of these is required to be done if you pick your seat after boarding by asking the passengers for the seat switch.
