Marble, a natural stone of metamorphic origin (meaning once was the result of a chemical or volcanic action on non-metamorphic rocks), is renowned for its fineness and beauty. For centuries, it has been used to build churches and palaces, tombs and statues, flooring and furniture. Today, it is still used in these applications but increasingly as an interior decorating material – especially for floors.

To keep the gloss of marble, you have to clean and polish it regularly. This can be done with the help of some natural products that don't damage the surface of marbles. There are basically two types of marble available in market: one, which is used for exterior purposes and second, which is mainly used for interior purposes. If you opt for interior purpose, then there is no need for any external protection. In fact it will last longer if you clean it by using a vacuum cleaner or dust mop. But if you want to use it outside, then dry cleaning can protect from water-related damages. For more detail, please refer to the info-graphic below.
