The peddler was arrested by Ramna police from outside a private school at G-11, they said, adding that earlier, a police team in the area of G-11 spotted a man who acted suspicious and made an attempt to escape from the spot when their officials were approaching him for verification.

However, the police team succeeded in intercepting and arresting him after a brief chase, the police said, adding that during the search, packets carrying drugs were recovered from him.

Later, the man and the drugs were shifted to Ramna police station for further legal procedure, they said, adding that he was put behind bars after the registration of a case.

During the preliminary investigation, the man disclosed the practice of selling drugs through an online application, they said, adding that according to him, the majority of the customers were students of different education institutes who booked orders by using the application.

In response to the order, the drugs wrapped in parcels were delivered to the given location by the peddlers, the police said.

In this regard, the police said further investigation was in progress to identify and trace the other accomplices of the arrested peddler.
