A FCSA umbrella business member stole the holiday pay of contractors who were legally entitled to it, and they each collected over £6,000, according to Moneybox, a BBC Radio 4 programme! Apparently, the Moneybox find is just the top of a much larger iceberg. Through the use of a legal loophole, several FCSA umbrellas have been uncheckedly pocketing holiday pay for many years. This suggests that tens of millions of pounds in legally required vacation pay owed to devout contractors may have been syphoned out to supplement the FCSA umbrellas’ enormous fortune.
